For many of our clients, it’s hard to know where to begin. At the outset, the design and construction process can feel overwhelming and complicated. We break the journey into clear phases, making it easier to understand and navigate. Our role is to guide you through every stage from concept to completion, developing creative solutions, coordinating the details, and staying by your side until the work is finished.
pre-design

This phase is all about gathering the information we need to start the design process. We begin by documenting your home through detailed measurements, photos, and notes. From these, we create accurate floor plans and a 3D model of the existing house. At the same time, we review zoning requirements (such as setbacks and height limits) so we know the rules before exploring possibilities.
design

This is where ideas take shape. We begin broadly, discussing your likes and dislikes, and exploring different layouts through sketches, floor plans, and 3D views. As we meet and review together, the design becomes more refined, combining your needs and preferences into a solution that works. Our goal is to help you discover what you like, narrow it into a clear direction, and finish with a design that feels right for you.
construction documents

With the design approved, we translate it into detailed drawings that builders and permitting officials rely on. These documents communicate everything from layouts and elevations to construction details, helping contractors price the work accurately and carry it out smoothly.
bidding & negotiation

Choosing the right builder is one of the most important steps in the process. We coordinate with contractors, answer their questions, and review proposals side by side. Our job is to make sure your vision is clearly communicated, the scope is well understood, and that you can make an informed decision with confidence.
construction administration

During construction, we stay involved to keep things running smoothly. We review materials, answer questions quickly, and make site visits at key milestones. We are your advocate during this stage, helping ensure the project is built in line with the design and avoiding unnecessary delays.
